AABG/LOID Big Train A' Comin'
Hello, we are Jeff and Rhonda McCarter. We are located in Hugo, Oklahoma, which is in the southeastern corner of the state. We began our Boer Goat endeavor just like many others. We had goats for several years just to control brush and other undesirable plants. With both of us growing up around livestock and our desire to raise quality animals, we began looking for ways to improve the goats we already had.
When we discovered Boer Goats, we were fascinated enough to take a look. We began in the summer of 2002 with a fullblood buck that we thought would compliment what we had. After visiting other Boer breeders while looking for our buck, we purchased a handful of purebred and percentage does. We were so impressed with our first kid crop that we began putting together our fullblood does. We now feel that we will be able to produce goats to meet any segment of the market whether it be commercial replacement stock, pedigreed breeding stock, or show animals.
With just a few kid crops under our belt, we feel that we are well on our way to producing percentage and fullblood Boers that will be useful and competitive within the industry. Please feel free to call or come by to look and visit about goats.
All of the photographs used in this website were taken by us. We both have extensive experience with livestock and show animals and realize the difficulty in capturing an animals best qualities.
